Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
This policy explains what Ophtha-Consulting collects through ophthaconsulting.com, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: the only personal information collected is what you choose to send through the contact form, plus anonymous visit statistics. It is not sold.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address, message, and, if you choose to give them, your practice name, phone number and the service area you are asking about.
- Phone calls and email. If you call or email, we receive whatever you tell us and your phone number or email address.
- Visit statistics. Pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and whether a visit led to a call or a form submission. See “Analytics” below.
Why we collect it
Only to respond to your inquiry, schedule a discovery call, and run the consulting engagement you ask about, and to understand which pages of the site are useful. We do not send marketing email or add you to a mailing list.
Who it is shared with
Contact-form messages are passed through our email-delivery provider (Cloudflare) so they reach Ophtha-Consulting by email. The website is hosted by Vercel, and its content is managed in Sanity; neither receives your form message. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
The site itself sets no cookies. If you allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from another and to count visits (see below).
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and actions (a tap on the phone number, a submitted form) are useful. Google receives your IP address (shortened/anonymized by Google Analytics 4), device and browser details, and the pages you view, and sets cookies in your browser. We do not use it for advertising or to build profiles of individuals.
Do Not Track. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal or Global Privacy Control, the site does not load Google Analytics at all. You can also block it with Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by calling (917) 837-8545 or using the contact form. We will respond within 45 days. California residents have these rights under California privacy law, and we honor them for all visitors.
Retention, security, and children
Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the engagement, then deleted on request or when no longer needed. The site uses HTTPS. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
